They are classic and span generations. I can find no faults with them.

Proof that if a thing persists generations of use with little to no change its extreamly successful regardless of these being very casual and simple. How many more advanced even trick taking games that are only 1 game and not generic cards can say that? I’d say very few. I’m drawn to the over complicated but there is great beauty in simplicity if you cant remove anything else without losing value.

I’ve played some of your list at the start for trick takers. Extended family particularly older generation loves the poker deck classics and things you can casually do while chatting. I never get tired of spades or hearts but do of many of the advanced trick takers after a few dozen plays.

A pleasure to hear a modern “hobby” gamer identify why more casual games are so rewarding. I think if I had created the same review it would have been twice as long and not covered any additional ground.
