Thanks for the comments! I actually think the game might do well in a cafe setting because it has great table presence, is easy to learn, and probably works best when the participants are chill with it.

I have a preorder on the game for my board game café but I’ve been in a bit of a doubt recently whether to cancel or not. I recently sold Mind MGMT after I tried it a couple of times and before it hit our shelves in the café, exactly because it has that “campaign-style” of gameplay.

btw. I love the line: “what game do you want me to play? What’s the peak experience here?”

That is why I have an issue with modular expansions and games with several different variants included. It’s like the designer wants ME to figure out how the game is best played, when all I want is that “peak experience”. I don’t want to do the the designers job before I’m playing!
